The fauna of the municipality it is represented by armadillo, deer, hare, squirrel, tlacuache, tejón, tusa, coyote, zorrillo and duck.
Resources naturalforest surface timber is occupied by pine, encino, and the nontimber one is occupied by scrubs of different species.
Characteristics and use of the groundgrounds of the municipality date from the periods cenozoic, tertiary and paleoceno, they correspond mainly to of the type chernozem and chesnut.
